LexBar+ Live

Along with everything in the Express and Standard plans, LexBar+ Live adds four online live class sessions with LexBar Founder Joshua Jenkins, who has been tutoring students for the Virginia Bar Exam for over a decade. Each 1-hour live online webinar covers a few important legal concepts, and allows time for students to ask questions. Live sessions happen on the four Saturdays prior to the exam, at 1pm Eastern Time. Students also have an essay coach available to answer questions, flashcards for the most important Virginia Civil Procedure rules, 100+ Virginia multiple-choice questions, and Professor Lex, a highly trained A.I. tutor for the Virginia Bar Exam. LexBar Standard

The original LexBar and still the most popular! LexBar standard has everything that's in the LexBar Express plan, but adds three graded essays with expert grading and feedback from Virginia attorneys who specialize in helping students pass the Virginia essay exam. The feedback on your answers is not just to help you learn the legal rules, but also provides guidance and a framework for answering all Virginia Essay Exam questions. Our grading is detailed, thorough, and substantive. It's more than just a score. Plus all LexBar Standard enrollees have access to Professor Lex, a highly-trained A.I. tutor for the Virginia Bar Exam.

LexBar Express

This newly introduced option is for students who aren't looking for essay grading or customized advice, but still want the benefit of learning the LexBar framework for answering essay questions. You get the essay workshop video taught by LexBar Founder Josh Jenkins, with all the details about how to write answers for the Virginia essay exam. Also included are a dozen hand-picked essay questions which test some of the most important rules to know, and LexBar model answers that demonstrate exactly how to write an essay answer for the Virginia exam. Each practice essay also has a video explaining the law used in the answers.

What's not included in any LexBar plans?

LexBar does not include full outlines of Virginia law or day-by-day study schedules.

Many LexBar students are also enrolled in a Virginia-specific course from one of the big bar prep companies to gain access to the full outlines of Virginia law those companies provide, and to have a structured daily study schedule.

LexBar lessons take about 1-hour each, and can be done alongside one of the big bar prep courses. Some students, particularly some who are only taking the essay exam or who are transferring to Virginia from another state, prefer to take a more do-it-yourself approach, using publicly available free resources along with LexBar and foregoing the big bar prep companies.
